However, the price to that is that you can only earn one mile for every two dollars you spend on the card. You get a signing bonus of 5,000 miles. You can earn up to 25,000 miles in one calender year (equivalent to $50,000 in annual spending). However, Executive Platinum, Platinum and Gold members can earn unlimited miles. Summary - There are various versions of the American Airline Citi Cards that will suit most AAdvantage members who want to earn faster miles. The only drawback is that you cannot earn double miles. AAdvantage also does not have a partnership with American Express Membership Rewards. Hence, American Express cardholders cannot transfer memberhsip reward points into AAdvantage miles.

For those who are not frequent flyers (but are AAdvantage members who want to earn some miles with their credit cards), the Citi® Bronze AAdvantage® Mastercard® (with no annual fee) makes the most sense.

Recommendation for Aadvantage Elite Members Elite members and frequent flyers should get the Citi ® Gold/Aadvantage® World Mastercard as the annual fee is less than the Platinum Select version ($50.00 versus $75.00).

Combine Personal and Business Cards Small business owners who are elite AAdvantage members can earn miles really fast by combining the Citi® Business® AAdvantage® Visa with either the Citi ® Gold/Aadvantage® World Mastercard or Citi® Platinum Select®/AAdvantage® World Mastercard®.
